If you want to make money and be successful in your business, you have to put in the time! It's that simple. You can dream about your success all you want. You can talk about your plans and goals all you want. You can take workshops and online courses all you want. None of that is going to help you if you don't take ACTION! No one ever achieved anything by doing nothing.
Taking action means that you need to consistently show up. You have to have a plan in place that will take you from point A to point B so that you can get to point Z and claim your victory. Here are 7 quick best practice tips to help you create an Action Plan. Remember, you have to stick with it or this plan just won't work.
1. Create a Strategic Plan
You need a plan. Know where you want to go and what your objective is. Creating a plan for your business that has a quantifiable or qualitative result is the key to achieving goals. It must be something you can visualize, measure and track.
2. Set Measurable Goals
Break down your goals into ones that are attainable. Ones that you can track and measure. Be very specific with your goals and make sure that they are clearly defined.
3. Make a To-Do List of All Your Tasks
There's a feeling of satisfaction when you cross and item off your list. Make a daily list of things that you need to accomplish. Cross off the items that you've accomplished that day. This practice of crossing items off your list will give you a feeling of satisfaction and help you stay motivated and on track.
4. Divide Up Your Tasks
Large tasks can seem overwhelming and you are more likely to put them off. Try to divide up the large task into smaller ones that are more manageable. It will help keep you on task and motivated.
5. Set Deadlines
To ensure that you are completing the tasks that you set out for yourself, make sure that all of your tasks have deadlines. When you leave a task open-ended, without a deadline, it gets pushed off and most likely never completed. Deadlines are good for you. They keep you on task and accountable.
6. Write It Down
Create a visual representation of your action plan and place it front and center where you can see it daily. When you write things down, they become real and this sends a signal to your brain that you're serious about making them happen. Always write it down.
7. Track Your Actions Regularly
This is where the visual representation comes in play. It helps you keep your eyes on the prize and you in check to make sure that you are on your way to accomplishing your goals that you set out to achieve.
